Here is a pic taken last month during our mountain vacation at Carter Creek Falls near Asheville NC. I've spent a bit of time today preparing a Power Point presentation of our trip, and hope to publish it to the net soon.

I've spent the rest of today preparing for my workshop for advanced Hammer Dulcimer, which I'm teaching here at my house on Sat. Its all about Christmas!

Visited the Dr. today and he says I'm good.

Last night we attended a Bible study on Biblical prophecy concerning Christ's Millennial Kingdom. Did you know that Daniel prophecied about Christ's return to earth to set up an earthly kingdom?

Its been six months since my last blog.... I've just been to busy to blog. We were only home for 10 (very hot) days this summer, traveling to Iowa for the 4th-Of-July at Lisa's then on to Evart for the ODPC Dulcimer FunFest. You wouldn't believe the weather! It was so cold we had to buy a heater!

After a quick trip back to Houston we found ourselves in Belleville IL for the Gateway Dulcimer Festival, then on to Nashville TN and later to Asheville NC for a very special week in the mountains with all of our kids and grandkids.

I just got an email with some emails from Marj Mountainsong who was with us in Central Florida in February. We visited with John and Lauri Cole for several days before and after the Central Florida Dulcimer festival and recorded some music for a new "Gospel Music" album which will be released soon, "Shall We Gather." Here are some pix of our visit.

Reflections on the Brazos

Last Friday we drove from our home in Spring up to Brenham, by way of Washington-On-The-Brazos, which was actually the capital of Texas in 1836 when Texas won their independence from Mexico and became a separate country with Sam Houston as their president. There is a museum there and an amphitheater and some lovely trails through the somewhat-hilly countryside and down to the banks of the Brazos River. This time of year the Bluebonnets and Indian Paintbrush is in full bloom.

I took my dulcimer along and other visitors stopped to listen to the music. Want to sing along?

I am so excited about my upcoming "unveiling" of my new E-Lesson format. If you have a web cam you can sign up for a 15-min. free hammer dulcimer lesson. I'm getting everything set up and plan to release the new format some time in May.
